30 Days of Prayer

January 1January 31

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18)
The United Pentecostal Church International has embraced the theme “VISION” for the 2020 calendar year. Join with us in our weekly focus prayer and fasting for “30 Days of Prayer,” from January 1-31, 2020. An old Japanese proverb says, Vision without “action” is a daydream, and Action without “vision” is a nightmare. Let’s put our vision to action, by going where we are looking spiritually, as we consecrate! “Looking unto Jesus the authorand finisher of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2) Make positive changes in the new year and choose to define and refine your life and the world around you, so that it will not be said of you and those you impact or influence… “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” But rather, let the contrary be said, “Where there is vision, the people perish NOT…”
In a spiritual context, a vision is divine revelation, direction, and supernatural insight from God. It also is discernment or foresight and the power of seeing or conceiving. Vision is the ability to see farther than your physical eyes can look. In the natural, 20/20 vision is normal visual acuity measured at 20 feet. It is the clarity and sharpness of vision at this distance. Let’s go forth as visionaries, united with the vision, and not untied with division.
Let us envision that the same God who gives the vision also can give the pro…vision. Surely, “the only thing worse than being blind is having sight and no vision.” (Helen Keller) So let’s plan to join together in special prayer and fasting with 2020 spiritual vision, so that we can see clearly that through God anything is possible!

Pray for repentance and holiness to permeate the Church as we look through the lens of faith and not

fear, believing that God is our Protector and Rewarder! “the word of the LORD came unto Abram in

a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” (Genesis 15:1)

Pray that the Church embrace and cast God’s vision, obey His Word, and fulfill His perfect will. “Where

there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs 29:18)

Pray that God reveals secrets for His glory, through prayer and visions, and that He sends His angels to

help us. “Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision…Yea, whiles I was speaking

in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision…touched me…” (Daniel 2:19-21)

Pray for all church leadership/laity, and Apostolic ministers/ministries, including missionaries. Pray

that God’s vision is conveyed plainly, effectively imparted to others, and that every promise is fulfilled.

“And the LORD…said, Write the vision, and make it plain…that he may run that readeth it. For

the vision…shall speak, and not lie…wait for it; because it will surely come…” (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

Pray that God grants us spiritual vision and open doors to reach the lost with the gospel, including

prodigals, and that we experience unprecedented restoration, revival, harvest, healing and miracles.

“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him,

saying, Come…and help us. And…we endeavoured to go…preach the gospel…” (Acts 16:9-10)
