Our Outreach Ministry Team understands the importance of reaching into our community through various means with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.
Teams of men from our church actively work within the Florida Department of Corrections. We conduct worship services on the first, third, and fifth Sunday afternoons at the Mayo Correctional Institution Annex and Work Camp simultaneously. Additionally, our men teach a Personal Development Class every second and fourth Thursday evening. On the second and fourth Sunday afternoons, the men minister at Suwannee Correctional Institute. The dedicated men of HAC’s Crossroads Prison Ministry make these efforts possible.
Our Jail Ministry holds service every Sunday afternoon in which we are able to have bible studies with the men that are transitioning through our county jail system. The team works diligently with both our state and county inmates. This is one of the most rewarding ministries that we have in our church.
Our Outreach Ministry Team works diligently with local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. On the second Sunday afternoon of every month, the team ministers at Lafayette County Health Care, located in Mayo, Florida. On the fourth Sunday afternoon, the team visits Oakridge Assisted Living Facility in Mayo. The team takes great care to minister to the needs of the elderly that attend these important services.
Our Spanish Ministry Team ministers to our Hispanic community every Sunday morning by translating the services. Fellowship opportunities are also planned throughout the year.
